Meet Kassandra Montandon

Hi, I’m Kassandra Montandon — a lifelong Hialeah resident, proud Hialeah High alum, and former Miss Hialeah City Ambassador. This city raised me, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve been passionate about giving back to the community that shaped who I am. I serve as Education Director at the Center for Financial Training at Miami Dade College, where I’ve led a countywide financial literacy initiative, helping thousands of students gain the tools they need to succeed. I also serve on the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Academy of Finance Committee, co-chair the Future Bankers Camp, and proudly contribute to community-focused organizations like United Way Miami and the Miss Carnaval Miami Committee (Kiwanis of Little Havana). Family is everything to me! I’m happily married to my best friend, David, and we share our life with our two fur-babies, KC our Great Dane and Ramesses (a.k.a Remy) our Doberman. My background in clinical psychology keeps me grounded in empathy and data-driven decision-making, and as an education leader and licensed realtor, I’m committed to strengthening Hialeah through stable neighborhoods, strong families, and real solutions.

BEYOND THE BALLOT

A smiling woman and a serious man sitting on a gray couch with two dogs, a white and gray dog and a black and brown dog, all indoors in a home setting.
  • Born at Hialeah Hospital and raised in this vibrant city, I’m a proud graduate of Hialeah Senior High School, Class of 2012. Hialeah isn’t just where I’m from, it’s who I am. That’s why I’m committed to giving back to the community that raised me.

  • As a former Miss Hialeah Ambassador, I had the honor of representing the spirit, pride, and resilience of our city. That experience deepened my love for this community and sparked a lifelong commitment to service, leadership, and making Hialeah proud. I continue that mission today as a Miss Carnaval Miami (Kiwanis) Committee Member, supporting opportunities that uplift and empower young women across South Florida.

  • As Co-Chair of the Future Bankers Camp, I’ve helped equip high school students with real-world financial skills and career exposure, empowering the next generation to lead with knowledge, confidence, and purpose.

  • I lead a student-focused Financial Literacy Initiative that equips young people with real-world money skills, from budgeting to credit and career readiness. As a proud Member of the MDCPS Academy of Finance Board, I’m committed to shaping programs that prepare our students for lifelong financial success.

  • I began my career with the Center for Financial Training in 2018 as the Office Manager and have since advanced to the role of Education Director.

  • I hold a degree in Clinical Psychology, which has given me a strong foundation in understanding human behavior, empathy-driven communication, and community-focused problem solving.
